As the logistics industry switches to electronic tolling, freight startup BlackBuck has offered to provide free FASTags to all truck owners in India.
Truck owners can now order FASTags on BlackBuck’s BOSS App, a digital services platform exclusively for truck fleet owners, and have FASTags delivered to their doorstep free of cost until December 31.
The initiative is expected to help more than three million trucks in India become FASTag compliant. BlackBuck claims a
25% market share in commercial e-tolling.
Come December 1, it is mandatory for all vehicles that are crossing national highway tolls to have FASTags and any vehicle
not carrying the tag will have to pay double the toll in cash.
With the deadline looming, the government has made FASTags available for free at tolls between November 22 and December 1.
BlackBuck has announced the free FASTag initiative to help the trucking community become FASTag compliant on time without any hassles.
Truck owners can download the Blackbuck BOSS app (available for free from the Google Play Store and iOS app store) and fill their address and truck details on the app. The toll tags will be delivered to their homes or offices in 4-5 days at no extra cost.
The FASTags on BlackBuck BOSS are provided in partnership with IDFC Bank and Yes Bank.
Aside from providing FASTags, BlackBuck said it has also set up a 24×7 call centre to resolve any grievances of truck fleet
