Union Minister discusses expansion of DCIL’s business

Union Minister of State for Shipping (Independent charge) Mansukh Mandaviya visited the head office of Dredging Corporation of India here on Thursday.

Addressing the employees, the Minister said that they are part of a large family, and a family can sustain only when all the members work with total commitment towards its progress and stability. He advised employees to come out of their comfort zones and work with a team spirit and translate efforts into output. He appealed to the employees to churn out new ideas through brainstorming sessions and channelize their efforts towards sustenance of the organisation.

Managing Director of DCIL, Rajesh Tripathi, highlighted the need for opening of newer verticals like marine construction, sand mining, project management consultancy and taking up projects abroad in addition to the existing dredging verticals in order to increase revenue and profit of the company.

He spoke on the scope in river dredging where DCIL can render technical support and newer areas like deep sea mining, deep sea fishing mechanism, reservoir cleaning, river cleaning among others. VPT Chairman P. Rama Mohan Rao and Paradip Port Trust Chairman and DCIL chief Rinkesh Roy spoke.
