Paradip Port Authority along with Major Ports Sports Control Board is organising 24th All India Major Port Cultural Meet 2024 -25 at Jayadev Sadan.
Gracing the inaugural function as Chief Guest, Nilabhra Dasgupta, Dy Chairman, PPA inaugurated the cultural extravaganza and said that the Culture is the most beautiful expression of aesthetic of human heart. It expresses inner beauty of the soul. Every piece of land and nature nurtures culture in its own way. The cultural meet provides ample opportunity for celebration of Indian culture.
Guest of Honour, A K Bose, Advisor, Traffic, PPA said that today representatives from vast Indian coastline have congregated to display their skills through cultural performances. Around 200 participants from 8 Major Ports across the country are participating in the cultural meet, which will come to an end on 15th December. DN Sondhi, Chairman, Organising Committee presided over the inaugural proceedings. Capt. AC Sahoo, Dy. Chairman, Dr. DP Sethi, Secretary of organising committee also spoke on the occasion. Ranjan Rashmi Beura, Jt. Secretary, organising committee compeered the programme. All the Major Ports are competing in categories like Classical Vocal, Light Vocal, Instrumental, Dance and Drama. This evening, the inaugural performance was made by DPA, Kandla.
