Starting in February 2025, Hapag-Lloyd will introduce the India Asia Express (IAX) service, offering direct connections from Mundra to major Asian ports.

This service will integrate with Hapag-Lloyd’s Gemini Shuttle Network through key hubs, enabling connections to additional destinations across North America and Asia. Specifically, cargo destined for North America will transfer at the Chinese port of Qingdao and the South Korean port of Busan.

The port rotation for the India Asia Express (IAX) service will be as follows:

Mundra (India) – Singapore – Qingdao (China) – Tianjin, Xingang (China) – Busan (South Korea)

The boxship X-Press Odyssey will be deployed on the inaugural sailing for this service, scheduled to arrive at Mundra on 16 February 2025.
