Blue Energy Motors has delivered its liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered heavy-duty trucks to Inland World Logistics, marking the logistics major’s entry into sustainable transportation.

The handover ceremony took place at Blue Energy Motors’ Chakan plant in Pune, reinforcing the company’s leadership in clean and future-ready trucking solutions. These LNG-powered trucks offer 30per cent lower CO₂ emissions and reduced operating costs without compromising on payload or performance—positioning them as a compelling alternative to traditional diesel trucks.

A strategic move for green logisticsWith this delivery, Inland World Logistics takes its first major step toward integrating green mobility into its operations. “We believe that the future of logistics lies in green mobility, and transitioning to LNG is a crucial step in that direction,” said Praveen Somani, Managing Director, Inland World Logistics. “Blue Energy Motors stood out for us—not just for their product innovation, but for their commitment to making sustainable trucking viable and accessible.”

Expanding LNG trucking ecosystem Blue Energy Motors now has over 800 LNG trucks  operating on Indian highways. These trucks have collectively crossed 50 million kilometers, resulting in 14,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided—equivalent to the carbon absorption of more than 5,60,000 trees annually.

“Our partnership with Inland reflects our mission to enable cleaner mobility at scale—fleet by fleet, region by region,” said Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO, Blue Energy Motors. “Our trucks offer a powerful alternative to diesel, with significantly reduced emissions and a lower total cost of ownership.”

As India’s long-haul trucking corridors begin embracing cleaner fuel options, LNG emerges as a practical and scalable alternative. Blue Energy Motors is not only innovating on the product front but is also working to build supporting refueling infrastructure in collaboration with industry stakeholders.
