    Cochin Shipyard Limited successfully hosted the inaugural Ushus Sangamam, bringing together 16 startups funded under CSL’s flagship startup initiative, Ushus. The event showcased breakthrough technologies and innovations developed through CSL’s support.

    CSL has earmarked a ₹50 crore corpus for the Ushus programme, with ₹6.9 crore already invested in 17 startups, generating over 70 high-skilled employment opportunities for young professionals.

    Madhu S Nair, Chairman & Managing Director, said, “CSL is committed to funding and supporting deep-tech and innovative startups in the maritime sector. We look forward to building long-term, sustainable partnerships with startups to develop a vibrant, self-sustaining innovation ecosystem.”

    Implementation partners IIMK LIVE and IIT Madras took part in the event, along with key stakeholders from the startup ecosystem such as Maker Village, Kerala Startup Mission, Kerala Angel Investors and Malabar Angel Investors.

    The event also saw the participation of dignitaries from various industries, including NPOL, NSTL, Indian Register of Shipping, Kochi Water Metro, HMT Kalamassery, SFO Technologies and Cochin Port Authority. Additionally, representatives from academic institutions like CUSAT, Government College of Engineering Thrissur and Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science were also present.

    The 16 participating startups included Neiox Eco Cycle, Vashishtha Research, Asatrobo Technologies, NyQuest Innovation Labs, Xalten Systems, Fuselage Innovations, Ensoverse, Mafkin Robotics, WROXAI, Xera Robotics, EYDelta, Hyetron Energy, Xtent Innovations, DrRing Health, Docker Vision and Quintrans Hyperloop.
