Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has unveiled its new Alpaca service offering fast transit times for trade Far East to South America West Coast.

The full rotation of the service is as follows:

Ningbo (CN) – Busan (KR) – Callao (PE) – Arica (CL) – Iquique (CL) – San Antonio (CL) – Nansha (CN) – Hong Kong (CN) – Ningbo (CN)

This weekly standalone service will call directly at Chilean ports, while also improving MSC’s connectivity to Bolivia’s crucial trade gateways at Arica and Iquique.

Tailored to meet the demands of the Chilean cherry season, the Alpaca service will also operate as MSC’s Cherry Express, providing the fastest and most dependable solution for exporters targeting Asian markets.

Enhanced by MSC’s Smart Reefer technology, the service will ensure maximum cargo integrity, freshness, and visibility for reefer shipments throughout the supply chain.

Last month, the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) welcomed the launch of MSC’s new Himalaya Express shipping service at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Jubail Commercial Port.
