Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has achieved a major milestone in strengthening its rail-linked logistics capabilities at Mundra with the successful commissioning of Bundle–II, Line 1, under the South Port Rail (SPR) development.

The newly completed infrastructure became operational with the rollout of the first rake, THAR-106, from the SND yard—marking the formal start of train operations on the upgraded network.

According to the company, the enhancement significantly boosts operational readiness at India’s largest commercial port. By expanding rail handling capacity and improving connectivity, the upgrade is expected to support rising cargo volumes and meet future logistics demand with greater efficiency.

APSEZ said the development reinforces Mundra Port’s role as a high-performance multimodal hub, enabling faster cargo movement and smoother inland connectivity for customers across the hinterland.

The commissioning of Bundle–II, Line 1, is part of APSEZ’s broader strategy to strengthen integrated logistics infrastructure and deliver seamless, end-to-end supply chain solutions.
