The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of the new shipping service “China Red-Sea”, operated by Global Feeder Shipping LLC, Regional Container Line (RCL), and TS Lines, to Jeddah Islamic Port.
The new service is expected to enhance global trade flows, strengthen supply chains, and improve operational efficiency at the port.
The new service connects Jeddah Islamic Port with key ports including Shanghai, Qingdao, Nansha, and Shekou in China, Sokhna in Egypt, and Aqaba in Jordan, with a handling capacity of up to 441 TEUs.
It is worth noting that Jeddah Islamic Port features 62 multi-purpose berths, a logistics park for storage and re-export, and a direct truck transport system to and from the port.
It also includes specialised terminals, advanced equipment, and dedicated marine services berths for towing and pilotage, with an overall handling capacity reaching 130 million tonnes.
Last month, Mawani and Hizon International Logistics signed a contract to establish a logistics zone for unloading and storing containers at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
