India’s mobile phone production is set to reach USD 75 billion in FY26, with exports exceeding USD 30 billion, driven by the PLI scheme, industry body ICEA said.

The PLI program, continuing through March 2026, has helped scale domestic manufacturing and boost exports, while government initiatives like the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) and semiconductor approvals aim to strengthen India’s electronics ecosystem.

Apple led the domestic market, shipping five million iPhones in Q3 2025, driving growth in the premium segment. ICEA members include Apple, Foxconn, Dixon, Vivo, Oppo, and Lava.

As the PLI scheme ends, the industry moves into a phase of consolidation and strategic scaling to integrate deeper into global value chains.
