The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced significant enhancements to its Dragon and Jade services, delivering faster transit times and improved connectivity from Asia to the Mediterranean.
The Dragon service will introduce a new direct call to Trieste, improving its current transit times by five days and providing seamless access to Koper, Rijeka, Venice, Ravenna and Ancona.
The Jade service will also be upgraded with a new direct call to Fos-sur-Mer, reducing its transit times by seven days.
“These strategic improvements will bring faster and more reliable access to key markets,” MSC reported in a company statement.
The first DRAGON vessel on the new enhanced service will be the MSC Thais, voyage FD608W, ETA 18 February in Busan, following the rotation below:
Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Nansha – Yantian – Singapore – Trieste – Gioia Tauro – Genoa – La Spezia – Sines – New York – Boston – Norfolk – Charleston – Freeport, Grand Bahama – Busan
The first JADE vessel on the new enhanced service will be the MSC Mette, voyage GJ607W , ETA 10 February in Qingdao, following the rotation below:
Qingdao – Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Xiamen – Yantian – Singapore – Valencia – Barcelona – Fos-sur-Mer – Gioia Tauro – Singapore – Qingdao
Last month, MSC reaffirmed its commitment to Sri Lanka with a new Terminal Service Agreement signed with the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
