    V.O. Chidambaranar Port has achieved a major milestone in project cargo handling with the successful arrival of a vessel carrying 147 windmill blades, each measuring 76.8 metres, on March 2, 2026.

    The consignment, imported by Envision Energy India Pvt. Ltd., represents the largest single shipment of windmill blades handled at any port in India, underscoring the port’s growing capability in managing oversized and specialised cargo that supports the country’s renewable energy expansion.

    Vessel agency services were managed by Parekh Marine Agencies Pvt. Ltd., while stevedoring operations were carried out by Aasian Shipping Agencies. Cargo clearance and transportation were handled by NTC Logistics India Pvt. Ltd..

    With this operation, VOC Port continues to reinforce its position as a key gateway for project cargo and renewable energy components, delivering complex logistics operations with precision, safety, and efficiency.
