India’s Jaigad Port has inaugurated a new export route for mangoes and cashews, offering growers and exporters an efficient gateway to international markets. The move is expected to enhance trade connectivity, reduce transit times, and support India’s efforts to expand its presence in key overseas markets.

Port authorities highlighted that the facility is equipped to handle perishable cargo with modern cold-chain infrastructure, ensuring that fruits and nuts maintain quality during transit. Exporters welcomed the development, noting that it provides a cost-effective and timely option for shipping products to the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

Industry analysts said the new route could bolster India’s mango and cashew exports, contributing to higher revenues and supporting the country’s agricultural export growth ambitions.
