Indian Railways is strengthening its parcel freight operations with the launch of a dedicated mobile application and the expansion of its logistics facilities across the country. The app aims to simplify booking, tracking, and management of parcel consignments, providing customers with real-time updates and digital payment options.

Alongside the digital upgrade, several railway parcel hubs have been modernized and expanded to handle larger volumes efficiently, ensuring faster transit times and improved reliability. The move aligns with Indian Railways’ broader push toward digitalization and modern logistics solutions to better serve businesses and individual customers.

Railway officials highlighted that these initiatives are expected to boost the competitiveness of rail parcel services against road and courier alternatives, while also supporting small and medium enterprises by offering streamlined shipping solutions.
