Allcargo Logistics Limited has announced the appointment of Amit Chhari as Chief of Operations – Express, reinforcing its focus on strengthening operational excellence and expanding its express distribution network.
In his new role, Chhari will lead the company’s operations strategy for the express business, with a strong emphasis on network expansion, process optimization, and service reliability. He will also drive initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, optimizing costs, and improving overall customer experience across the company’s domestic supply chain operations.
Bringing nearly two decades of experience in logistics and operations transformation, Chhari has deep expertise in B2B express logistics, network strategy, P&L management, and large-scale operational expansion. His mandate includes scaling network capabilities and leveraging automation and technology to support sustainable growth.
Commenting on the appointment, Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & CEO of Allcargo Logistics, said the company is delighted to welcome Chhari to the group. He highlighted that Chhari’s experience in building and managing large-scale logistics networks, along with his focus on technology-driven transformation, will be instrumental in enhancing network scalability and delivering greater value to customers and partners.
Prior to joining Allcargo Logistics, Chhari served as Vice President – B2B Operations at Xpressbees, where he led key initiatives including business turnaround, nationwide network expansion, and digital transformation. He has also held senior leadership roles at Rivigo and Safexpress, contributing to network redesign, transit optimization, ERP implementation, and strengthening last-mile delivery capabilities.
Speaking on his appointment, Chhari expressed enthusiasm about joining Allcargo at a time of rapid transformation in the logistics sector. He noted that he looks forward to working closely with the leadership team to further strengthen the express network, enhance operational efficiencies, and deliver scalable, reliable logistics solutions aligned with evolving customer needs.
Chhari holds a Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from College of Technology and Engineering Udaipur.
