Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (Rail Vikas Nigam Limited) has appointed Ashutosh Gautam as Executive Director (Civil), effective April 17, 2026, according to an official announcement.

In his new role, Gautam will be responsible for overseeing key civil infrastructure projects, including railway track construction, bridge works, and other large-scale development initiatives undertaken by the company across India.

RVNL said the appointment is aimed at strengthening project execution capabilities as the organisation continues to expand its role in modernising and upgrading railway infrastructure. The company has been actively involved in implementing major rail connectivity projects, including network expansion, electrification support, and capacity augmentation works.

Industry observers noted that leadership changes at RVNL come at a time when India is accelerating investment in railway infrastructure to improve freight efficiency and passenger connectivity.

The company continues to play a central role in executing government-backed rail development programmes, with a focus on faster project delivery and improved engineering standards.
