The Port of Klaipėda has recorded its strongest-ever monthly cargo handling performance, underlining the Baltic gateway’s growing importance in regional trade and logistics networks.
According to port authorities, the record month was driven by solid volumes across multiple cargo segments, including containers, bulk commodities, ro-ro traffic, and general cargo. The performance reflects strong operational efficiency, resilient trade demand, and the port’s ability to attract diversified cargo flows despite broader market uncertainty.
Located on Lithuania’s Baltic coast, Klaipėda serves as a strategic maritime link for Central and Eastern Europe, connecting road, rail, and sea transport corridors. Its ice-free status and modern terminal infrastructure have helped position it as a reliable gateway for year-round trade.
