Ashok Leyland has launched India’s first range of heavy-duty trucks equipped with air suspension technology, introducing three new models designed to enhance payload capacity, ride comfort and operational efficiency for fleet operators.
The newly launched lineup includes the AVTR 4925 10×2 MAV, India’s first 49-tonne truck with air suspension, offering a payload advantage of 1.5 tonnes; the AVTR 4625 10×2 MAV, India’s first 46-tonne air suspension truck with a payload advantage of 4 tonnes; and the AVTR 4525 8×2 MAV, India’s first 45-tonne air suspension truck, also providing a 4-tonne payload advantage.
Commenting on the launch, Shenu Agarwal said the introduction of air suspension technology reinforces the company’s leadership in commercial vehicle innovation.
“These new trucks offer best-in-class payload capability, improved comfort and better performance, helping our customers improve productivity and profitability,” he said.
Sanjeev Kumar said the new range has been developed to address customers’ growing demand for higher efficiency, reliability and lower operating costs.
According to the company, the air suspension system delivers improved vehicle stability, reduced vibrations, superior ride comfort and enhanced tyre life, contributing to better operational performance and a lower total cost of ownership.
The launch further strengthens Ashok Leyland’s medium and heavy commercial vehicle portfolio as the company continues to introduce technology-driven solutions aimed at improving fleet productivity and customer profitability.
