    V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Port of Antwerp-Bruges International NV and APEC Antwerp-Flanders Port Training Center VZW, marking a significant milestone in strengthening international collaboration for sustainable, digital, and future-ready port development.

    The partnership establishes a framework for cooperation in key areas including knowledge exchange, capacity building, digital transformation, green port initiatives, skill development, and the adoption of innovative technologies aimed at enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of port operations.

    The MoU was signed by Shri Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, Deputy Chairperson, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, on behalf of VOCPA, and Mr. Kristof Waterschoot, Managing Director, Port of Antwerp-Bruges International NV and APEC Antwerp-Flanders Port Training Center VZW, representing the partner organisations. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the port and the visiting delegation.

    The collaboration is expected to facilitate the exchange of global best practices, technical expertise, and operational knowledge, enabling both sides to work together on developing smart, resilient, and environmentally sustainable port infrastructure.

    By partnering with one of Europe’s leading port institutions, VOCPA aims to accelerate its transformation into a globally competitive maritime gateway while advancing India’s vision for green and digitally enabled port ecosystems. The agreement further underscores the port’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in maritime operations through international partnerships.
