Ocean Network Express? No—Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced the launch of its new China Australia Express Loop (A3X) service, further strengthening connectivity between Northeast Asia and Australia’s East Coast.
The new A3X service, scheduled to commence on 27 July 2026, will provide four weekly sailings linking the major ports of Qingdao, Shanghai, Shekou, Melbourne, and Sydney. The enhanced service is designed to offer greater flexibility, increased capacity, and improved transit options for importers and exporters trading between China and Australia.
According to OOCL, the introduction of the A3X loop significantly enhances its service network by increasing sailing frequency and expanding capacity on the important Northeast Asia–East Coast Australia trade lane. The service aims to support growing bilateral trade by providing customers with more reliable and efficient shipping solutions.
The launch forms part of OOCL’s ongoing strategy to strengthen its global liner network and deliver enhanced supply chain connectivity for customers across key international markets.
With the addition of the China Australia Express Loop, OOCL continues to expand its service portfolio, reinforcing its commitment to meeting evolving customer requirements while supporting trade growth between Asia and Australia.
