V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VoCPA) has recorded a significant improvement in operational efficiency by achieving a 14.1% reduction in Median Turnaround Time (TRT) during April–June 2026 compared to the corresponding period of April–June 2025.

The improvement reflects the port’s continued focus on strengthening operational planning, enhancing cargo handling processes, and optimizing vessel management. The reduction in turnaround time was witnessed across all major cargo categories, enabling faster vessel handling, higher terminal productivity, and improved service reliability for shipping lines and trade stakeholders.

V.O.C. Port Authority stated that the improved performance is the result of sustained efforts to streamline port operations and adopt efficient logistics practices in line with the Government of India’s vision of developing world-class port infrastructure.

The port reaffirmed its commitment to continuously enhancing operational excellence and customer service while contributing to the growth of India’s maritime logistics ecosystem.

With this milestone, V.O.C. Port Authority continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s leading major ports, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and future-ready port operations under its vision of “Driving efficiency. Delivering impact. Building a Port of the Future.”
