India’s exports to its Free Trade Agreement (FTA) partner countries rose nearly 24% to $57.17 billion, highlighting stronger trade engagement with markets covered by India’s trade agreements.

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said the increase reflects growing export opportunities for Indian businesses across FTA partner markets. The rise comes as India continues to strengthen existing trade ties and expand market access through bilateral and regional trade agreements.

The government has been focusing on FTAs to improve tariff access, diversify export destinations and support Indian exporters across sectors. The stronger export performance is also expected to reinforce India’s efforts to expand its presence in global markets.

The latest growth underscores the increasing importance of FTA markets in India’s overall export strategy and efforts to boost merchandise trade.
