Adani Logistics Limited (ALL), in partnership with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), has launched a dedicated export rake service connecting Adani ICD Malur near Bengaluru with Adani Ennore Container Terminal (AECTPL).
The inaugural rake marks a new rail-linked export corridor for cargo originating from Bengaluru and industrial hubs across Karnataka, providing direct connectivity to Ennore’s on-dock rail facility and MSC’s global shipping network.
The service is expected to improve container evacuation, reduce road congestion and transit costs, and shorten cargo dwell times by enabling exporters to move containers by electrified rail from the inland terminal to the port.
The new connectivity will support exports including electronics, textiles, machinery, food products, gherkins and automotive components, providing manufacturers and exporters in South India with more efficient access to international markets.
The rail-based movement is also expected to contribute to lower logistics-related carbon emissions by shifting long-haul container transportation from road to electrified rail.
The inaugural flag-off was attended by senior representatives of Adani Logistics, MSC, Customs and other supply-chain stakeholders, marking a further strengthening of multimodal connectivity between Karnataka’s industrial hinterland and global trade routes.
