Adani Hazira Port has achieved a significant milestone in its liquid bulk handling operations by successfully handling its largest-ever chemical parcel of 72,000 metric tonnes (MT) aboard MT NCC Fajr.
The record shipment comprised Monoethylene Glycol (MEG), methanol and Diethylene Glycol (DEG), supplied by SABIC, one of the world’s major chemical producers.
The successful handling of the large parcel further strengthens Hazira Port’s position as a key gateway for chemical and liquid bulk cargoes on India’s west coast. The operation demonstrates the port’s ability to manage large-volume chemical shipments while maintaining efficient cargo-handling and operational standards.
The milestone also highlights the growing importance of Hazira in supporting India’s industrial supply chains, particularly for petrochemicals, chemicals and other liquid bulk commodities. Efficient handling of such cargoes is critical for manufacturers and downstream industries that depend on timely movement of raw materials and intermediates.
