Andhra Pradesh ranked seventh among India’s states in exports during FY2025–26, with merchandise exports valued at around ₹1.77 lakh crore, highlighting the state’s growing role in the country’s international trade.
The state’s export performance has been supported by its diverse industrial base, agricultural output and access to seaports. Key export sectors include marine products, pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, agricultural commodities, textiles and processed food products.
Andhra Pradesh’s extensive coastline and network of ports provide exporters with direct access to international markets. The state is also developing industrial corridors, logistics infrastructure and manufacturing clusters aimed at strengthening supply chains and improving export competitiveness.
The growth in exports comes as India continues efforts to expand merchandise trade and increase the contribution of states to the national export economy. State-level initiatives focusing on infrastructure, investment and value-added manufacturing are expected to support further growth.
The government is also looking to expand the export base by encouraging more small and medium enterprises to enter international markets and by improving logistics and trade facilitation.
With exports reaching ₹1.77 lakh crore in FY2025–26, Andhra Pradesh remains an important contributor to India’s merchandise trade and is seeking to further expand its presence in global markets.
