India is seeing growing export opportunities in the medical devices sector as Mexico, Brazil and the UK record rising imports, according to a recent report.

The three markets are witnessing increasing demand for medical equipment and devices, creating scope for Indian manufacturers to expand their international presence. The opportunities come as healthcare systems increase procurement of medical technologies and seek competitively priced products.

India has developed manufacturing capabilities across a wide range of medical devices, including diagnostic equipment, surgical instruments, consumables, implants and other healthcare products. The country’s cost competitiveness and expanding manufacturing base could support greater penetration into overseas markets.

Mexico and Brazil offer opportunities in Latin America, where growing healthcare requirements are driving demand for imported medical products. The UK, meanwhile, remains an important developed market with established healthcare procurement systems and demand for a broad range of medical technologies.

Industry stakeholders are expected to focus on product quality, regulatory compliance, certification requirements and market-specific standards to strengthen India’s presence in these destinations.

The report highlights the potential for Indian medical device companies to diversify exports and tap new markets as global healthcare demand continues to expand. Greater market access, stronger regulatory capabilities and increased manufacturing capacity could further support India’s medical device export growth.
