Paradip Port has achieved a significant milestone with the Government of India officially designating it as a “Mega Port” under the Indian Ports Act, 2025.
The designation was notified through Gazette Notification No. S.O. 5303(E) dated September 25, 2026, making Paradip Port the only Mega Port on India’s East Coast.
The recognition further strengthens Paradip Port’s position as a key maritime gateway and underscores its growing role in supporting India’s trade, cargo movement and maritime development.
