Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, has crossed the significant 90 million metric tonnes (MMT) cargo-handling milestone, registering an impressive 27% year-on-year growth.
The achievement marks another major operational milestone for the port and underlines its growing capacity to handle rising cargo volumes efficiently. The strong year-on-year growth reflects the continued momentum in cargo movement through Kandla and its importance as a key gateway for India’s trade.
The milestone further strengthens DPA Kandla’s position among India’s major ports and comes as the port continues to expand its infrastructure, improve operational efficiency and enhance connectivity with hinterland markets.
