New rates offer savings of up to ₹17,000 for import containers and ₹7,000 for export containers

Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has announced tariff reductions at its Inland Container Depot (ICD) Tughlakabad (TKD), aimed at reducing export-import (EXIM) logistics costs and improving the competitiveness of India’s international trade.

Under the revised tariff structure, importers will benefit from savings of ₹8,500 per 20-foot container and ₹17,000 per 40-foot container. For exporters, the reductions amount to ₹3,500 per 20-foot container and ₹7,000 per 40-foot container.

The revised import tariffs will come into effect from 15 October 2026, while the export tariff reductions are effective immediately.

The tariff revision is expected to provide cost relief to EXIM stakeholders, including exporters, importers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers using ICD Tughlakabad. By lowering container-handling and related logistics expenses, the move could help enhance the competitiveness of cargo moving through the facility.

ICD Tughlakabad is an important inland logistics hub serving trade flows between the National Capital Region and international markets. The latest reductions are expected to support more cost-efficient containerised cargo movement and strengthen the role of inland container depots in India’s multimodal logistics network.
