    The Cochin Shipyard (CSL), which is recognized as the leading shipbuilding and ship repair company in India, announced the delivery of the 10th electric hybrid 100-passenger water metro ferry to the Kochi Water Metro.

    The ceremony for signing the delivery protocol took place at CSL, with the presence of the directors from KMRL and CSL. The electric hybrid 100-passenger water metro ferry represents a cutting-edge vessel designed to offer efficient, eco-friendly, and convenient transportation solutions for the people residing in Kochi.

    With a strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility, the ferry is equipped with electric hybrid technology to ensure a reduction in emissions and a minimised environmental footprint. The collaboration between these two organizations serves as a testament to the potential for excellence within the Indian shipbuilding industry.

    In the signing ceremony, Harikrishnan S, the Chief General Manager of CSL, and Shaji P Janardhanan, the Chief General Manager of KMRL, signed the protocol and documents on behalf of their respective organizations. As stated in the release, both organizations worked closely together to successfully complete this project, which makes a significant contribution to the sustainable development and modernisation of water transportation in Kochi.
