It’s a moment of exhilaration to welcome MV. WAN HAI 302 on 02nd of October 2023, the maiden voyage under newly introduced CHINA-INDIA SERVICE VII (CI7) by WAN HAI & INTERASIA Lines at Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal (DBGT) at V.O.C. Port Authority.
The new service directly connects Port of Tuticorin with Ports in Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Thailand & Singapore.
The Port rotation of subject service is HAIPHONG > QINZHOU > ZHANJIANG > HONG KONG > NANSHA NEW PORT > SHEKOU > CAT LAI PORT / HOCHIMINH > LAEM CHABANG > SINGAPORE > PORT KLANG NORTH PORT > TUTICORIN (NEW TUTICORIN) > CHENNAI > VIZAG > PORT KLANG NORTH PORT > HAIPHONG
Management of Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal thanked WAN HAI & INTERASIA Lines for their striving work to introduce a well-tailored service to various destinations from DBGT – Tuticorin Port and appreciated both Consortium members for initiating a major step to widen Tuticorin’s reach to Far East Sector by including more ports under CI7 Service.
This service is expected to improve in import volumes from FE & SEA sectors to Tuticorin, as it is a direct inbound call and would also cater to export cargoes to FE destinations/ Southeast Asian markets from the key hinterland in South India.
DBGT, being the most competitive dwell time performer among the South Indian Terminals, subject service will be an added value advantage for the Importers / Exporters with faster clearances of their cargo which is timelier precious in today’s competitive World.
