    Visakhapatnam Port Authority signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) at ongoing Global Maritime India Summit, Mumbai, in presence of Hon’ble MOPSW & Ayush Shri Sharabananda Sonowal on 17-10-2023.

    The Global maritime India summit was inaugurated by Hon’ble prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 17-10-2023 virtually. In the inaugural session the VPA exchanged an MoU with NHAI. As Part of this MoU NHAI will develop the existing 4 lane road to six lanes from convent junction to Sheela Nagar at a cost of nearly Rs 500 cr.

    A second MoU was signed between VPA and the Indian Navy to develop the outer to outer harbour. Dr M. Angamuthu, IAS, Chairperson, VPA , Sri Durgesh Kumar Dubey , Dy. Chairperson , VPA exchanged the MoU with Rear Admiral Nelson D’ Souza, CSO(tech), HQENC,  Shri M.K. Wathore , Zonal Officer ,West Zone NHLML.

    Another memorandum of understanding was signed between VPA and M/s Trion Properties Pvt. Ltd. Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Chairperson, VPA and Shri. Rajneesh Mahajan, Director, M/s Trion Properties Pvt. Ltd. Signed on the MoU in presence of Sri G. Amarnad, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Infrastructure, Investment & Commerce, IT, Handlooms & Textiles Government of Andhra Pradesh to d tune of Rs 900 Crores to develop Convention Centres, IT Towers and Hospitality.

    VPA also arranged a stall at Global Maritime India Summit 2023. VPA in association with Government of Andhra Pradesh has also organized a special State Session on A.P at the Global Maritime India Summit 2023.
