Swiss/Italian box carrier MSC announced a new direct port call at Pisco Port (PEPIO) in Peru on its NWC-US-SAWC service.

Pisco Port is located in the Ica region, Peru’s grape capital.

MSC Romane is the first MSC vessel scheduled to arrive in Pisco Port on 9 November. For the whole season, MSC will operate a weekly service linking Pisco with the United States via transshipment in Panama and Northern Europe.

“The proximity of the port to the table grape farms will allow us to save time and preserve the quality of the product from the origin to the destination,” said MSC in a statement.
