    The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is engaging in the green supply chain space to facilitate members and stakeholders on compliances, strategies and global practices. “Implementing green supply chain management practices is essential for import-export. This also includes reduction of carbon footprint, sustainable packaging and waste management ethical sourcing and fair trade among other aspects,” said Arnab Basu, president designate, BCCI.

    Basu, also advisory leader at PwC India, was speaking at ‘Revolutionizing Supply Chain Strategies’ — an industry connect programme organised by BCCI and the Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), Kolkata.

    Sanjay Gupta, former head of supply chain, PepsiCo, and member of faculty at IIMM, Sajal Das, GM (Procurement), Linde India Ltd and Sudipto Basu, former regional head of materials, Hindalco, Blue Star, were present.
