India has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on gypsum board and tiles from China for five years.

The anti-dumping duty will range from $23.46-47.62 per tonne in case of imports from China and for imports from Oman, the anti-dumping duty will be ranging between$71.80-91.42 per metric tonne.

The anti-dumping duty was imposed on the recommendation of the Commerce Ministry and will be applicable on tiles with at least lamination on one side.

These boards are largely used for the construction industry for ceilings in both commercial and residential projects.

Last week the Finance Ministry imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on certain Chinese industrial laser machines used for cutting, marking or welding.
