Van Oord is carrying out dredging works in the Port of Krishnapatnam, India.

The depth of the port channels has to be restored after a severe cyclone, said Van Oord.

To dredge the navigation channel of the port to the required depth again, the Dutch giant is deploying trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) HAM 318.

In total, approximately 5 million cubic metres of material will be removed from these areas.

The Port of Krishnapatnam is India’s deepest port and one of South Asia’s largest ports.
