American Airlines Cargo has announced a strategic partnership with CargoAi, a leading digital enabler in the air cargo industry. This collaboration aims to enhance airfreight booking capabilities on CargoMART, CargoAi’s state-of-the-art freight management platform, by incorporating the extensive network of the carrier.

This partnership will facilitate the seamless integration of American Airlines Cargo into CargoMART, providing freight forwarders with access to an extensive network of routes and a simplified booking process. The advanced technology and features of CargoMART complement the carrier’s existing digital booking platform, aacargo.com, thereby enriching the digital experience for customers seeking capacity and managing bookings on American’s cargo network, according to the official release.

“Partnering with CargoAI is a significant step on our modernisation journey,” says Greg Schwendinger, President of American Airlines Cargo. “We are excited to expand our network and capacity onto an innovative platform like CargoMART and provide customers with a new digital solution for doing business with us.”

CargoMART offers a comprehensive suite of features, including real-time capacity and rate visibility, quoting, e-booking, and track and trace functionalities. A standout feature of the platform is its ability to compare flight options based on carbon emissions, track CO2 emissions at the shipment level, and purchase sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) as needed.

“We are delighted to join forces with American Airlines Cargo, a global leader in air transportation. This partnership underscores our commitment to providing our users with best-in-class digital solutions that optimise their operations and drive efficiency in the air cargo industry,” adds Matt Petot, CEO of CargoAi.

With the integration of American Airlines Cargo’s network and products, CargoMART users will gain access to more options and greater booking flexibility. This integration will also provide American Airlines Cargo with exposure to over 16,000 freight forwarders across more than 130 countries who regularly use the CargoAi marketplace, the release added.
