RoadOne IntermodaLogistics, a provider of intermodal, warehouse and logistics services, announces a significant investment in a new distribution and transload facility near the Port of Charleston in Summerville, South Carolina.
Spanning nearly 405,000 m², this site will be developed in two phases.
Phase one will introduce a cutting-edge facility covering 35,800 m² and 52,600 m² of designated trailer and container parking, scheduled to open in January 2025.
Phase two, adding 26,000 m² and 40,470 m² of dedicated parking, will commence construction shortly after the completion of phase one, targeting an opening in January 2027.
Both facilities will operate around the clock and feature comprehensive security measures, including fencing, gating, extensive camera surveillance, and lighting to ensure utmost safety and security.
As major importers increasingly seek dependable supply chain partners to facilitate the smooth flow of cargo from ports to consumer markets, the demand for near-port coastal warehouses and transloading facilities has surged.
RoadOne’s new Summerville facility responds to this demand by providing a comprehensive solution to accelerate cargo velocity and streamline regional distribution. It is conveniently located near one of the fastest-growing ports in the US.
