A delegation from the Port of Beirut has visited the Port of Valencia.

The delegation was headed by Bassem Kaissi and Omar Itani, President and General Manager of this Lebanese port enclave.

The Lebanese delegation was accompanied by Abdelghani Gharib, CEO of Gharib Shipping & Trading; Nancy Khawam Ulloa, General Manager of Medkon Iberia; and Vicente del Río, port logistics consultant.

They all held a meeting with the general manager of the Port Authority of València, Enrique Belda; Teresa García Ibarra, Head of RoRo; and Manuel Rodríguez, Head of International Relations and European Policies.

The managers of both ports have put on the table the relevance that the environmental regulations and good practices are acquiring for the modern management of the ports.

In March 2024, the Spanish Council of Ministers authorised the tender for the construction works of a new electrical substation in the Port of València for an estimated value of €14.5 million ($15.82 million).

More recently, the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) announced the opening of the ZAL project (Logistics Activities Zone).
