A capesize vessel named ‘M V Barenet’ (LOA: 292 metres) directly berthed at Cargo Jetty No 6 of Deendayal Port in Kandla on April 26, a first in four years.

The successful berthing of the vessel was made possible by the support of Aditya Birla Global Trading, the ship’s charterer and cargo receiver, and Dariya Shipping Agencies Pvt Ltd, the vessel’s agent, who arranged for its berthing.

This achievement underscores our commitment to enhancing port capabilities and operational excellence, Dariya Shipping Agencies said.

Four years ago, a capesize ship was docked at Deendayal port under the same charterers, receivers, and agents.

This remarkable milestone would not have been possible without the unwavering support and cooperation of Sushil Kumar Singh, Chairman of Deendayal Port Authority, C Harichandran, Deputy Chairman, Deendayal Port Authority, and the entire traffic, marine and civil engineering department of Deendayal Port Authority.

Dariya Shipping Agencies said, ” We sincerely appreciate their continued collaboration, which inspires us to push the boundaries of what is achievable.”
