Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) is proud to announce that its Hazira Liquid Terminal has achieved a significant operational milestone, handling 507,276 metric tonnes (0.51 million tonnes) of bulk liquid cargo in August 2025. This performance marks the terminal’s second highest-ever monthly throughput, surpassing the previous record of 0.49 million tonnes set in October 2021.
During the month, the terminal successfully managed 71 liquid tankers, underscoring its efficiency, operational excellence, and capability to handle large-scale liquid cargo volumes.
Commenting on the achievement, an APSEZ spokesperson said: “This milestone is a testament to the trust placed in us by our valued customers, the dedication of our cross-functional teams, and the unwavering support of our partners and stakeholders. Hazira continues to strengthen its position as a critical hub for liquid cargo on India’s western coast.”
For perspective, the volume handled in August equates to the weight of over 85,000 adult elephants or more than 2,000 fully loaded Boeing 747 aircrafts, highlighting the scale of operations at the Hazira Liquid Terminal.
