AeroNet announced the launch of the ETSO C90d certified air cargo pallet with removable seat track, “designed to revolutionize ULD maintenance and deliver significant cost and time savings to users and MRO operations.”

“Leveraging 20 years of experience in MRO, we understand the challenges of time-consuming and costly repairs in air cargo pallets.

This expertise has driven us to develop a solution that addresses these issues, ensuring reduced repair times, enhanced safety, and long-term cost reduction for our customers,” reads the AeroNet release.

AeroNet recently announced the renewal of its contract with Emirates SkyCargo for three more years to supply air cargo nets, air cargo straps, and other restraint equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods worldwide.

For airlines & ULD leasers, maintaining an aircraft’s operational readiness is essential. Therefore, having ULDs that are easy to repair and maintain is crucial. AeroNet’s removable seat track simplifies repairs by allowing to replace only the damaged section, avoiding
the costly need to replace the entire base extrusion. This reduces downtime, simplifies repairs, and saves costs, ensuring that ULD will be available on time for operations.

The new design allows the damaged seat track to be replaced by removing just 3 rivets, keeping the existing base extrusion in place.

With this streamlined process, operators can make repairs in just 5 minutes—compared to 45 minutes for a complete base extrusion replacement. This means faster turnaround times (TAT), less disruption to operations, and higher productivity.

The corner part can now be replaced with just 1 screw, eliminating the need to remove multiple rivets from the base sheet and extrusion profile. This innovation reduces the time and labour required for repairs, making maintenance faster and easier than ever.

AeroNet’s removable seat track, with a standard length of 13 inches (330 mm), reduces shipping costs due to its compact size.

Storage is also simplified, as the smaller seat tracks occupy less space than a full base extrusion. These reductions directly translate into lower overall costs for maintenance, labour and logistics.

Designed with robust materials to withstand tough conditions, the removable seat track ensures long-term durability.
