TAP Air Portugal has appointed Aeroprime as its General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) for cargo operations in India, marking a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the country’s growing air freight market.

Under the agreement, Aeroprime will manage TAP Air Portugal’s cargo sales, marketing, and customer service across India, ensuring seamless handling of shipments and enhanced support for exporters and freight forwarders. The partnership aims to expand TAP’s cargo network connectivity between India and Europe, facilitating reliable transportation of goods including perishables, pharmaceuticals, and high-value shipments.

Aeroprime’s team will also coordinate with TAP’s operations to optimize cargo capacity, streamline documentation, and provide local expertise for Indian shippers. Industry experts say the move reflects growing demand for dedicated cargo solutions and the importance of strong local representation in India’s competitive air freight sector.

TAP Air Portugal highlighted that leveraging Aeroprime’s experience will help the airline strengthen its market share in India and improve service standards for customers relying on European and transatlantic air cargo routes.
