Allcargo Logistics is strengthening its integrated logistics capabilities to help retailers manage the expected surge in demand during India’s upcoming festive shopping season, supported by technology, a nationwide distribution network and an expanded workforce.
The company is leveraging its Domestic Supply Chain, Express Distribution and Consultative Logistics businesses to help retailers improve inventory movement, accelerate replenishment and strengthen last-mile connectivity amid growing demand for faster deliveries and seamless omnichannel shopping experiences.
Its integrated logistics solutions combine warehousing, transportation, express distribution, store replenishment, e-commerce fulfilment and reverse logistics, enabling retailers to manage seasonal demand through a single logistics partner.
To prepare for the anticipated increase in volumes, Allcargo Logistics is scaling its blue-collar workforce by 20% across its Express Distribution and Consultative Logistics businesses. The total workforce deployed across the two businesses is expected to reach approximately 9,000 during the peak season.
“The festive season is no longer just about handling higher demand; it is about building supply chains that can respond with speed, flexibility and precision,” said Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & CEO, Allcargo Logistics.
He added that technologies such as advanced Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, AI-enabled analytics, real-time shipment visibility and digital control towers are helping businesses improve inventory accuracy, optimise transportation planning and make faster decisions.
As part of its peak-season workforce strategy, Allcargo Logistics has also introduced a nine-week incentive programme across all operating units. The programme includes weekly performance celebrations, festive initiatives and special incentives aimed at improving employee engagement, retention and performance during the peak period.
The company said the festive season is also highlighting the growing importance of Tier II and Tier III markets, where rising disposable incomes, improving infrastructure and increased digital adoption are driving retail expansion.
With organised retail and omnichannel commerce expanding beyond metropolitan markets, retailers are increasingly seeking logistics networks that can provide consistent service quality across emerging consumption centres.
Allcargo Logistics said its integrated, technology-enabled supply chain solutions, combined with a scalable workforce and nationwide network, will help retailers manage peak-season demand while strengthening supply chain resilience for long-term growth.
