Allcargo Logistics Limited, following the approval of its restructuring plan to house domestic supply chain, express distribution, and consultative logistics businesses, has announced a major transformation of its operational network through a significant expansion and recategorization of facilities.

As part of this strategic overhaul, the company has expanded and reorganized its network from 21 to 71 locations across India. The enhanced, structured framework now covers nearly 100% of India’s GDP-generating regions, enabling improved regional connectivity, faster turnaround times, and consistent service reliability across the North, South, East, and West.

Under the new model, Transshipment Centres have been reclassified into four categories — Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze — based on their daily tonnage handling capacity, with Platinum representing the highest-performing hubs. This categorization aims to improve operational clarity, optimize planning, and streamline freight movement for better predictability and performance.

Commenting on the development, Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Allcargo Logistics, said:

“The recategorization of our Transshipment Centres from 21 to 71 marks a pivotal shift in strengthening our nationwide logistics architecture. This transformation is also driven by strong synergies between our express and consultative logistics business, enhancing our ability to deliver faster turnaround, deeper market penetration, and a consistently superior customer experience. Most importantly, it strengthens connectivity across the country, especially into smaller cities and high-growth regional markets. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to operational excellence and building a future-ready logistics network for India.”

The revamped network significantly boosts Allcargo’s ability to serve smaller cities and emerging high-growth markets. With optimized routing, synchronized network flows, and greater agility in infrastructure deployment, the upgraded model promises quicker turnaround times and a seamless customer experience across both express and consultative logistics verticals.

The expanded network strengthens multimodal integration and end-to-end service delivery across India’s key economic corridors, reinforcing Allcargo Logistics’ position as a trusted logistics partner for businesses across industries.
