Alok Tiwari, IRSE, Managing Director, Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), chaired a review meeting at the DFCCIL Corporate Office to assess key activities, ongoing works and operational priorities.

The meeting reviewed DFC operations, construction, maintenance, asset reliability, safety, project progress and organisational performance. Tiwari stressed a coordinated, outcome-oriented approach focused on improving efficiency, reliability and productivity. Discussions also covered the proposed new East-West Dedicated Freight Corridor (EWDFC), including its alignment and the way forward for planning and development.

The MD emphasised greater mechanisation and automation in maintenance, modern construction methods, pre-cast solutions, and wider use of AI and digital technologies to strengthen asset performance and decision-making.

He also called for stronger knowledge management and institutional memory through a comprehensive digital repository of drawings and critical project data, supported by robust backup systems. Officers were urged to focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, timely execution and operational excellence while leveraging technology and innovation to enhance DFCCIL’s capabilities.
