The government of Andhra Pradesh has approved the establishment of District-Level Logistics Facilitation Cells in every district to fast-track infrastructure projects and strengthen the state’s logistics ecosystem.
The decision is aimed at improving coordination between government departments and resolving operational bottlenecks that often delay logistics, industrial and aviation infrastructure projects. Officials said the initiative will help accelerate project implementation by providing a dedicated mechanism at the district level to facilitate approvals and clearances.
The newly created cells will primarily focus on ensuring land readiness for logistics and infrastructure projects, including matters related to land acquisition, alienation, removal of encroachments and monitoring compensation and rehabilitation processes.
In addition, the cells will coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure the timely provision of utilities and connectivity, such as dedicated power supply, bulk water supply up to project boundaries, and preparation of cost estimates for supporting infrastructure.
Government officials noted that the move is expected to improve ease of doing business and attract more investments in logistics and infrastructure sectors by reducing delays and strengthening last-mile coordination.
The initiative forms part of the state’s broader efforts to position Andhra Pradesh as a key logistics and industrial hub, supported by improved infrastructure and streamlined project execution mechanisms.
