APM Terminals-operated APM Terminals Pipavav has further strengthened its commitment to developing future-ready maritime professionals through strategic collaborations with Gujarat Maritime University and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya.

As part of the initiative, the port welcomed its first batch of interns for May 2026, offering students hands-on exposure to live operational projects across port functions. The internship programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry experience by enabling students to work directly within a major maritime and logistics environment.

The engagement also provided interns with the opportunity to interact with the terminal’s senior leadership team, including Clint Carmichael, Girish Aggarwal and Hiral Rajput. Their participation highlighted the company’s focus on mentoring young professionals and supporting skill development in the maritime sector.

The initiative reflects the growing emphasis within India’s port and logistics industry on building stronger industry–academia partnerships to prepare the next generation workforce for evolving global trade and supply chain demands.
