Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh is expected to be inaugurated in the third week of July, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely to oversee the launch of the much-awaited aviation project.

The airport, located near Visakhapatnam, is being developed as a major regional aviation hub aimed at improving passenger connectivity, supporting tourism, and boosting economic activity in the region.

The upcoming facility is expected to enhance air connectivity for northern Andhra Pradesh and reduce pressure on existing aviation infrastructure. It is also positioned to support business growth, logistics movement, and future cargo operations.

The airport project is part of India’s broader aviation expansion strategy, with new airports and upgrades being undertaken to meet rising passenger demand and strengthen regional connectivity.

Once operational, Bhogapuram International Airport is expected to play a key role in connecting Andhra Pradesh with domestic and international destinations, contributing to the state’s transport and economic development goals.
