Chery Auto has entered into a strategic partnership with CMA CGM and CEVA Logistics to enhance the movement of vehicles, automotive components, and electric vehicle (EV) batteries across multiple international markets. The collaboration, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), is aimed at building more efficient and resilient supply chains to support the automaker’s global expansion plans.

Under the agreement, the three companies will work together to optimize end-to-end logistics operations across four key regions. The partnership will leverage CMA CGM’s maritime transport network, CEVA Logistics’ supply chain expertise, and Chery’s growing automotive production and distribution footprint to improve the flow of vehicles and critical components.

A key focus of the collaboration will be the transportation and handling of EV batteries, a rapidly growing segment of the automotive logistics market that requires specialized expertise and strict safety standards. The partners also plan to enhance logistics solutions for finished vehicles and spare parts, helping to improve delivery efficiency and supply chain reliability.

The agreement reflects the increasing importance of integrated logistics partnerships as automotive manufacturers expand into new markets and accelerate their transition toward electrification. By combining shipping, logistics, and manufacturing capabilities, the companies aim to streamline operations and better meet customer demand across diverse regions.

Industry observers view the partnership as a significant step toward strengthening global automotive supply chains amid evolving trade patterns and rising demand for electric vehicles. The collaboration is expected to support Chery’s international growth ambitions while reinforcing the roles of CMA CGM and CEVA as key logistics providers to the automotive sector.
